Madikwe Game Reserve is home to a tremendous diversity of fauna and flora, including the big 5, black and white rhino, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.

This luxury tented bush camp is a superb walking and open vehicle safari destination where guests are accompanied by well-trained and informative rangers who are able to interpret the many encounters whilst on safari.

R 180 per adult per stay & R 80 per child (3 – 9 years) per stay.

Madikwe Guest Conservation Contribution Fee: SADC Residents R 225 per adult per night & R 115 per child (2 – 12 years) per night applies. The fees are subject to change and to be settled at the lodge direct.

Unless otherwise stated, all rates listed are based on a minimum 2-night stay. Surcharges may apply for a 1-night booking.

Rates above are valid for SA Residents only. Discounted rates for Non-SA Residents are available on request.

Guided walks can be arranged; however, this needs to be requested directly with the lodge a few days prior to your arrival at Thakadu River Camp.

Child Policy

Children of all ages are welcome at Thakadu River Camp.

Children under 5 years will be free of charge when sharing with two adults, meals are charged on consumption.

Children 6 to under 12 years will pay 50% of the rate when sharing with 2 adults. Children over 12 years are charged as adults.

Baby sitting is available on request and charged additionally. To be booked & paid at the lodge direct.
